ERDF E-Business Grant Scheme

Harnessing ICT Tools within Paragon's Business Model

Project summary

The overall aim of this project is to enhance innovation within Paragon's organisational structure, processes and services offered by integrating ICT tools and infrastructures in the business model of the company. In this way, Paragon shall reduce costs and become more competitive on a local and international level whilst increasing its business revenue streams.

This project shall support Paragon Europe in further developing and sustaining the core business activities of the company. Currently, Paragon Europe offers 360° business solutions. To this end, Paragon is establishing itself as a leading business consultancy utilising its EU funding experience and EU networks to create business opportunities for itself and its clients. Participating in leading consortia in competitive EU funding calls and managing work packages in successful projects has enabled Paragon to create a competitive business model. In this regard, Paragon is aware that it has managed to create a business model which is replicable across borders and therefore it is confident that it can offer these services to public and private organisations, via web based applications, of its core business activities. Paragon has over the past year been systematically reviewing ICT tools and infrastructures which can help it achieve this objective.

Paragon has identified ICT tools relevant to the core business activities of the companies including:

  • Project Management Software;
  • Idea Generation and Management Software;
  • EU Directives Software for Consultants;
  • Financial Modelling Software;
  • Balanced Scorecard Software.

In this background, this project is based on two main phases. In the first phase of this project, Paragon Europe shall be identifying and integrating ICT software in Paragon's own business model. In the second phase, the resultant ICT toolkits from the first phase shall be offered to clients as web-based applications. These web based services shall be individually tailored made depending where the enterprise is in the business lifecycle. The development of a website and member restricted area shall be utilised to:

      1. distribute information via the website about the company, news and any only free information that can be provided;
      2. develop a member only area which contains personalised dashboards of performance on the projects relating to the member;
      3. develop an online wizard like toolbox in order for a member to have a 'self-service' like online system
      4. have a live online communication channel with the members;
      5. help non members to get enough information to select to become members.

This project is being co-financed under the ERDF E-Business Grant Scheme
